If you've tried registering with an AOL email address, I'm getting the account activation emails back which you would normally use to officially register. This is because AOL's automatic SPAM filters views our email as SPAM, so the emails are being return to me as undeliverable. If you haven't received your activation email, hit me up at admin@fortwaynehiphop.com and we'll work it out from there.

**********************************

Current site members who have selected the option to be notified of replies to their posts and of private messages are most likely not receiving those email notification either, for the same reason. I suggest that you deselect the pm notification in your profile, and deselect the "Notify me when a reply is posted" which is located beneath the posting window.

If you choose to continue to use these options, you can go into your profile and change your email address.

Thanks!

AOL is retarded.. it can never make up its mind..
I have found that some days I will get notifications of topic replies and PMs... but some days I dont.

I did get my registration email (that was a long time ago though)... so perhaps the spam blocking has gotton much more strict since then. Come to think about it, I really dont get ANY spam..well, for the most part... So yea.. AOL does have some very good spam controls. Which is nice.. but can also inhibit users from things they actually DO want coming through....

But yea.. sometimes things come through.. & sometimes they dont.
(when they dont, they dont go to spam.. they just dont arrive in any way, shape, or form....)

Do you get reply & PM notifications returned to you as well Solaris?

Yeah, I get your notifications almost daily. As a matter of fact, I got one or two today.

I'm getting a truckload of error emails, so the "Notify me when a reply is posted" will be unavailable real soon.

Sorry folks!

FWM.com has had some of the same issues.

It seems now that the problem goes beyond AOL.

I'll make a new post for other email account users.

AOL is off its rocker. The only way so far that we have seen at FWM.com is to open IE outside of AOL.

That works everytime.
